Our next Success Story shines a light on our creative Marketing Manager, Courtney Grice. At CybaVerse, we believe in celebrating our team's achievements, and this month, we sat down with Courtney to share her journey and the impact she’s made so far.

Courtney is a dedicated and hardworking team member who plays a key role in our marketing team. Recently, she’s been instrumental in developing our new website, ensuring it truly resonates with our audience. She has also played a crucial role in building brand awareness, particularly for our cyber security platform, CybaVerse AI.

Could you tell us about your professional journey and experiences that led you to join CybaVerse? What drew you to working with us?

Before joining CybaVerse, I began my marketing career at a large national network of law firms. It was my first introduction to the world of marketing, giving me a broad understanding of the field and its opportunities. Alongside my role, I completed a Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship, which I successfully passed within a year.

What initially drew me to CybaVerse was the people and the culture—I noticed right away how friendly and supportive the team was. From day one, everyone was eager to share their knowledge and help me grow. The company encourages both professional and personal development, which was a perfect fit for me as someone always looking to learn and improve.

What unique skills, experiences, or perspectives do you bring to your role at CybaVerse?

In my role as Marketing Manager, I take the time to really understand our customers—their challenges, goals, and what they need from a cyber security partner. It’s not just about marketing a service; it’s about figuring out how we can add real value to their experience with us.

Coming from a background that has experience from both marketing and sales, I’ve developed a strong sense of what resonates with our audience. I don’t just focus on lead generation—I really like to focus on building relationships, creating content that educates and engages, and making cyber security feel more approachable. I think this is an important mindset to have when it comes to working within marketing in general.

What sort of activities and involvement in projects have you had? Are there any standout moments you’ve found particularly memorable?

When I first joined CybaVerse, I worked across both marketing and sales, gaining valuable insights into both areas. This experience helped me build strong relationships with the types of customers I would later market to, giving me a deeper understanding of their needs and how we can best support them.

More recently, I’ve been heavily involved in the development of the new CybaVerse website, ensuring it not only looks great but also resonates with our key audiences—MSPs and SMEs alike. It was important to create a site that speaks to both groups, making cyber security approachable and relevant to their needs. At CybaVerse, our mission has always been to educate and support businesses, helping them understand that cyber security isn’t just an IT concern—it’s a shared responsibility for everyone.

Building brand awareness has been a big focus for us, especially with the launch of our cyber security platform, CybaVerse AI. It’s a completely unique platform, so making sure we communicate that in a way that really connects with our audience has been key. From the initial launch to keeping the momentum going, I’ve worked closely with the team on a range of campaigns to get the name out there and show businesses how it can benefit them.

In your opinion, what sets CybaVerse apart as a workplace? How does the company foster a positive and inclusive culture?

The team genuinely supports each other, not just in day-to-day work but outside of it too, creating an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself.

What also sets CybaVerse apart is the emphasis on learning and development. The leadership team actively encourages ongoing training and personal growth, making sure everyone has the opportunity to build their skills while on the job. That level of investment in people isn’t something you find at every company, and it makes a huge difference in creating a positive and inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

Have you undertaken or plan to undertake any training or development that will assist with your role at CybaVerse?

I am always willing to learn and better my marketing knowledge. I'm currently working towards my Level 4 CIM accreditation in Professional Digital Marketing and aim to complete and pass it by mid-year.

What are your hobbies or passions outside of work? What do you like to do in your free time?

Outside of work, my interests are a bit of a mixed bag. Recently, running has become a big passion of mine, and I’m setting myself the challenge of signing up for a race this year.

When I’m not running, you’ll usually find me watching Portsmouth FC, both home and away—a hobby that comes with plenty of highs and lows, as any football fan will understand!

I also love traveling with my partner, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with my cat, Jupiter, who keeps life interesting in his own way.

If you could give one piece of advice to new employees joining CybaVerse, what would it be?

Ask as many questions as you can—there’s no such thing as a silly question. The more you ask, the more you’ll learn, and that will only help you grow in your role and at CybaVerse.
