Kat Wellum-Kent

A dynamic and experienced CFO, Kat Wellum-Kent brings a wealth of financial expertise and leadership experience to CybaVerse. With a career spanning over two decades, Kat’s journey began with a passion for finance, which she first explored while helping her father with his dental practice accounts. Her formal career began at Deloitte, where she earned her ACA qualification and spent 16 years working with large corporates, including several FTSE 250 companies. During this time, she honed her skills in Corporate Finance, leading IPOs, equity and debt raising, as well as M&A transactions.

After her time at Deloitte, Kat transitioned to a smaller accountancy practice where she developed a deep passion for helping SMEs and scale-ups. It was here that she founded Fractional Finance, a team dedicated to providing the financial insight and support needed by growing businesses to make informed decisions. Kat joined CybaVerse as a Fractional CFO, drawn to the company’s passion and drive for success.

Notable highlights of Kat’s career include her role in the listing of Just Eat on the London Stock Exchange, where she saw first-hand the power of team culture in delivering a successful transaction. She also worked on the merger of a UK and Australian law firm, which gave her the opportunity to spend time in Sydney—one of her dream destinations. More recently, Kat has focused on helping companies gain better visibility into their performance, identifying key drivers, and providing the financial clarity necessary to reach their goals.

Outside of work, Kat is a lover of the countryside and enjoys walking in the fresh air, where she often does her best thinking. She is also passionate about yoga, meditation, and all things "woo-woo," bringing a balanced and mindful approach to her professional and personal life.
